- Go to your nearest emergency room
- Call your local county mental health emergency line; all NC counties have teams of psychiatric professionals who can come to your home in the event of a psychiatric crisis; this is especially helpful if you are concerned that it may not be safe to attempt to transport your loved one in a car to get help.
